Good afternoon to all of our Radisson Park families.

We hope that everyone has had a nice summer, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone for the first day of school on Tuesday September 2!

Kindergarten will be following a staggered entry schedule. This information has been shared with families via email, and teachers have reached out to confirm.

Grade 1-6 students will meet their teachers outside at the back of the school on Tuesday morning. Families will have been contacted phone or email by teachers to introduce themselves so that you know which teacher to look for.

If you have not heard from your teacher, please contact the school as it my mean that there are outstanding registration pieces.

Note: There are three parts to the registration process - family completion of the registration form, CBE processing of the form to ensure all documentation (custody, birth certificate, etc) is complete, and gathering of intake information which helps us make decisions about best placement. Intake information/ questions have been sent by email, and can be completed through email or an intake meeting can be scheduled for next week. Students will start school once all of these parts of the registration process are complete.

• Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
• Fridays, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm

If your child will be absent from school, during the school year, you are required to call the school each day your child(ren) are absent. Call 403-777-8070 x 1.

Leave your child's first and last name, the grade, teacher and reason for the absence.

Please note that every Friday school dismisses at 12:48 pm.

Breakfast Program

The drop-in breakfast program is available for any student requiring breakfast before school, and will start on the first day of school. Breakfast program is available 8:20 to 8:43 am. Students who attend breakfast program MUST be here to eat school-provided breakfast. This is not a before-school care or supervision time.

Supervision

Morning supervision starts at 8:43 am. Children should not be arriving before this time as there are no adults outside and we worry about safety concerns and injuries.

There is also no supervision after school, so all students are asked to go straight home to check in with families.

Supplies & Backpacks

Please note that there is no need for families to purchase school supplies as the school provides everything that students will need. Please provide a pair of indoor running shoes that can be left at school, and write your students' name in them.

We have had a very generous donation of backpacks and will be handing out one to every student on the first day. There are supplies in them, and these supplies are intended to stay at home.
